„SNL“ nimmt ICE während des „Weekend Update“ ins Visier, nachdem eine Krankenschwester auf der Intensivstation in Minnesota getötet wurde: „Ich verstehe, dass ICE-Agenten angeblich Menschen sind und einen Job zu erledigen haben. Aber irgendwann, wenn man alte Damen mit Pfefferspray besprüht oder auf eine Krankenschwester schießt, fragt man sich manchmal: ‚Sind wir Idioten?‘“

Shooting an unarmed man in the back multiple times killing him.

    *Dicks* doesn’t do it justice.

I mean that was kinda critical, I guess. It wasn’t even very funny. I expected better.

Gotcha. Looking for a new SNL because SNL isn’t doing it anymore. Opportunity for a not-ready-for-tiktok replacement any day now.

    “Dicks”?

    Damn. What biting comedy.

Jesus Christ. That’s the best they could come up with after watching these pieces of shit murder a man on the street?

I mean there are about a thousand more accurate and, most importantly **funnier** dunks that also convey the abject cartoon villainy these thugs are engaging in.

  6. A moment of silence for Renee Good and Alex Pretti would’ve sent a strong message. We are not in a good place as a country right now. It’s like we are in mourning

  7. It is wild how Weekend Update is consistently the only part of the show that feels like it is actually living in the same reality as the rest of us. Jost and Che usually play it safe but you could tell there was genuine vitriol behind this one.

Is this suppose to be a joke? SNL shouldn’t touch this subject. I mean, there is nothing funny about the whole situation and it shouldn’t be funny. Speaking about it lightly, saying „are we dicks?“, it’s something that some podcaster or Jon Steward could say at the beginning of this, not after all the drama and tragedy. Also, those Trump skits are very cringe. Orange dementia patient and his administration are so over the top that any attempt of mocking him/them is more serious and less funny than him. And it’s a very low hanging fruit for comedians right now. It’s not like I have high appreciation for SNL which have been trashy and unfunny for decades, but still.
