      Honestly, this should’ve happened way earlier. Kind of wild they spent years on Super Dragon Ball Heroes instead, which most people didn’t even watch.

      It’s weird that they just announced production.

      The moro and granolah arcs have been out for a while. Yours figure they’d be close to done with it.

      Will it be in the style of Super: Superhero or hand drawn? I would assume CG would make it faster to animate. But I’m not sure.

      Wait, so as someone who grew up on Toonami in the late-90’s/early-00’s, I‘m aware of Dragon Ball, DBZ, and Dragon Ball GT.

      Then some years later there was an edited DBZ subtitled ‘Kai’ (I think it edited 300 episodes into about 100, trimming a lot of filler).

      And years after that was DB Super, which i never watched, but apparently took place after DBZ and pre-GT.

      Where does this new series fall on the timeline?

      I grew up with Dragon Ball.

      I love it at its best and at its worst, and maybe I’m just nostalgic for Toriyama in his passing, but I’d really like to see the rest of the cast take center stage instead of continuing to rely on Goku and Vegeta.

      Some of the best episodes of the series had characters like Krillin and Piccolo having outwitting a more powerful adversary by the skin of their teeth, or just holding out long enough for help to arrive. Even Vegeta and Goku had to rely on teamwork in some capacity, although this has certainly diminished as the series progressed. Nowadays, it seems Vegeta and Goku resolve most arcs by evolving into a new hair color to defeat the big bad, and I’m a little bored by it.
