      He is unintentionally proving carneys point that economic integration is being used as a weapon to force us into subordination.

      Carney just has to tell him he will cut the deal to just 70k cars by 2030 and he’ll make sure at least half are $35k max if he drops the 100% tariff threat and he’ll take it as a win like he did with Greenland purchase and Europe tariffs. I don’t think he understood the speech Carney gave, just that Carney got more applause.

      Trump doesn’t give a Sh$t if Canada gets a trade deal with china. It’s not a free trade deal. We still have tariffs with china. Trump is upset about the Davos speech and is now resorting to name calling lol.

      So far the government is responding the only way they can.  Which is to shrug and just say that Trump’ll do what he does and we’ll deal with it as it comes

      Trump is a malignant narcissist.

      When you look up the psychological profile of these types it matches completely.

      Trump and his cronies only care about domination. That is their world view. It’s an ugly horror filled world view of no real intrinsic/inherent value of people and important ideals.

      I still find it shocking people will be part of that sphere. When you have to be a bad person to belong to a group that is probably a wake up call to be part of a different scene.

      Trump is reacting to Carney getting more respect and applause (ie. higher ratings) than he did at Davos. But no one should be naive enough to think Trump hasn’t always been and will be coveting Canada and will use tariffs and threats to try to keep Canada compliant. the attacks on Canada are going to happen no matter what.

      He is just upset because his advisors explained Carney’s speech to him in simple terms, now he understands it and feels he has to lash out.

      We aren’t currently working on a trade deal with China and are years away from any such thing, if ever. We are aware of the dangers that China poses on their own. Carney’s speech was as much about China as the US.

      This is the same as Trump saying “If Canada deploys nuclear weapons to South Africa, we will impose a 100% tariff on them”.

      I guess it feels good to say it but it isn’t ever going to happen.

      Now back to Trump’s massacre of his own people in Minnesota.

      He’s been doing this shit for over a year now, everyone knows the play. And a quick glance at the 1Y cad/USD or eur/USD chart will tell you how it’s panning out.
