    There are many laws still on the books in many states that have been declared unconstitutional and are unenforceable but were never technically repealed.

  2. Mainly slave states because atheists are more likely to also see through other irrational prejudices like racism.

    This is the same as how half the country still outlaws gay marriage.

    Overridden by a SCOTUS decision for the time being and therefore unenforceable.

    Unfortunately, not really enforced. All citizens are at the whims of the voters; with the death of local journalism, I’d doubt most Americans even know the demographics or policies of their governing officials.

    Unconstitutional laws.
    Not that it matters anymore. Trump’s murderous gonna will probably be shooting us soon.

    That’s kind of a pointless law. In most of the states that have it (and several more that don’t), people just wouldn’t vote for an atheist anyway.
