      As a Brit I’d like to think that the European Union could live up to its name, but right now I’m not convinced. I’d really like to support joining Europe again, but I don’t see enough signs of unification for this to happen in a meaningful way. Canada under Carney seems to have the courage and conviction though, and I wonder if Trump’s bizarre behaviour will force new alliances to be forged?

      I don’t think it’s necessarily terrible.

      Tariffs on goods/services hurt us, the consumers. We got Trump to (briefly at least) stop talking about taking Greenland and he can give himself an award for getting…. the deal the U.S. already had with Greenland beforehand.

      But we very much DO need to diversify away from U.S. goods and services. They’re currently an unreliable, dangerous trade partner.

      weak. We should be teaching the US a lesson and dumping their bonds. There is still a totally unjustified 15% Tariff and threats to impose tariffs if we don’t undermine the international order by joining a farcical corrupt organization. Enough is enough.
