  2. 7 Democrats (3.3%) voted for it.
1 Republican (0.004%) voted against it.

Trump won all of these districts. Most of these Democrats barely won in 2024.

    Jared Golden (ME): retiring
Henry Cuellar (TX): Trump is angry Cueller didn’t become a Republican after his pardon, targeted by new GOP map, has primary opponents
Vicente Gonzalez (TX): targeted by new GOP map, has primary opponents
Don Davis (NC): targeted by new GOP map, filing deadline has passed, no primary opponents
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA): has primary opponents
Laura Gillen (NY): has primary opponents
Tom Suozzi (NY): deadline for primary is March 30

  3. It’s Hakeem Jeffries job to get these votes. He’s allowing these to pass. Primary him.

Surprise surprise, the milquetoast corporate center right party doesn’t actually care about anything they profess to. Whodathunkit?

  5. Would have been easier to vote in 2024. And then we wouldn’t be in this situation. I wonder how many people complaining voted in 2024.

So move to NY, TX, and primary them. Find out if maybe the voters in their district care about it or not

It was 220-207, so if they had voted “no” it would have failed, 213-214.

Jared golden being one of them.

I live in southern Maine where ICE is terrorizing our citizens. And he knows it, too. He knows what they’re doing and he’s okay with it. He signed the death warrant of Mainers.

    Fuck you, Jared.

What could they possibly need more money for? Even if you support ICE’s actions, you’re a fucking idiot, but they already have a massively inflated budget with more money than they could ever spend

On a hunch, I looked up each one of their last elections.

Before condemning them outright, it’s worth noting that they won their last elections by slim margins, which constrains their ability to do what we might want if they hope to stay in office.

    Perez – 51.7%
    Golden – 50.3%
    Gillen – 51.2%
    Gonzalez – 51.3%
    Suozzi – 53.92%
    Davis – 49.5%
    Cuellar – 52.8%

Vote blue no matter who = hey these people on the blue team vote like fascists.

It’s gonna be hard to beat fascism without rooting out the right leaning “democrats”.

Stop complaining about purity tests unless you like when Dems vote to give ice more money.

  12. 1000% chance Jefferies knew how the vote was and recently changed his stance. He now thinks people will be stupid and not know his real stance. Him and Schumer Republican lights need to get the boot in addition, to those 7

Fine, let’s see how these „moderate Dems“ do when ICE invades their district, now that they have the funds to do it.

  14. GreyNoiseGaming on

omg…. it’s like they are on the same team and just pretending to hate eachother.

  15. Pelosi, Schiff and Schumer right now.

„Why aren’t people voting for democrats?“ Insert facepalm here.

  16. MourningRIF on

A lot of Dems are bought and paid for. Their job is to make it look like they are Dems until big votes come down the line. Then, all of a sudden, even if a few GOP vote the „wrong way,“ the bill somehow still passes. It’s political theater.

  17. What’s the angle here? Are they all in conservative districts or something?

  18. cheefie_weefie on

Most cooked party imaginable. These fuckers are going to run the status quo shit back in 2028 and lose again.

  19. ontheroadtv on

Primary them all, and make it clear to Jeffries if he can’t rally all Dems in these conditions he’s next.

I keep reading that these votes came from areas with slim margins in their favor. The argument is that they had no choice.

And this is why Democrats lose.

They had no choice because they never tried to sell the truth. They probably never even tried. Did any of them tell their constituents this is a very bad use of money? Did they tell their constituents that ICE disrupts state business, schools, and growth for a state? Did they help these morons understand that their area could be next, and that ALL of this is in service to one man? Did they ask how their constituents feel about having a king?

Even if the fucks these people represent have zero moral compass (they don’t), there are other arguments that could be tried, but I’m not seeing it.

What’s the point of holding a seat for your party if you’re always voting against it because you can’t convince your constituents that you offer something better?
