      I regularly go to the US for work. Food for the well-off in the US is incredible. But it is expensive. Swiss Germans just don’t know how to do this kind of dining, to be honest. As a Swiss I think our restaurants suck.

      I don’t mind if they say what they think.

      I’d just appreciate if the rest of the world would also tell them to their faces what we think: that the US administration is an embarrassment to the whole human race and that we have absolutely no interest in wasting a single second of our time on such contemptible people.

      Fine by me because it means more Swiss food for me when I visit from the UK and escape the US food slop that infects UK supermarkets.

      Can’t believe so many people defending Swiss gastronomy. Every other thread on here asking about recommendations for restaurants basically says ‘not worth it,cook at home’

      I had some great food in Switzerland and also some food that really made me wonder. Tilapia with pineapple and fennel over rice? That’s not one I’d try again

      I mean, I have to agree that outside of the nice cheesy and potatoey stuff, he’s kind of right on this one. Swiss german food is quite dire.

      Everyone in the comments here acting like Swiss food is the greatest thing ever, probably second only to the traditional UK food.

      Pure politics. They want to force more US-food to Switzerland as part of the „trade deal“, so of course he has to complain about Swiss food.

      But honestly, I don’t give a sh*t about his food preferences.

      To be honest, the more fancy the Restaurant, the less tasty is the food.
      At least at every high class event i ever was here in switzerland.
      The menu allways has to be something crazy New, with extraordinary combinations, so it reads super special, but its allways meh at best.
      I like to Cook more complex and fancy menu’s myself, so i’m open this stuff. But man do they like to Ruin good ingredients with strange compositions sometimes.
