  1. Car registrations will plunge, as everyone who was in the market for a new car bought it last year.

EVs are still the cheapest deal you can make on a new car.

  2. Considering that the cost for car fuel is mostly tax it’s naive to think that the state will just eat up the loss of people converting to electric vehicles. As more people do that the government will surely find a way to get back the lost revenue from their citizens.

  3. Considering many dealers do not offer any petrol options at all right now, I would express doubt.

From used car market, cars of year model 2025 and 2026:

    – Diesel – 28 cars

    – Petrol – 41 cars

    – Mild Hybrid – 84 cars

    – Plug in hybrid – 173 cars

    – Electric – 2604 cars

Market for petrol cars no longer exists in Norway.

  4. Im not sure how much tax the state in Norway charge on cars.

But it this happened in Denmark hardly anyone would buy an EV, The cheap ones would double in price, the more exclusive would triple in price.
