Yes they are absurd, but they aren’t funny. They are not a joke. They are defending the indefensible.

  2. They have been a joke since Reagan. I heard a lot of Republicans got their start in Highschool where there were republican clubs. This gave many kids a pathway into politics and career opportunities.

This leads to fratboy atmosphere in the younger members because they are viewing politics through an adolescent lens

Lots of people here don’t seem to realize that both sides refer to each other and people on their own side of the isle as „colleagues“ because that’s what they are. He is a Democrat with a like a center left voting record. He isn’t talking about people in his own party.

Joke? Seems a bit milk toasty.

I never voted for Clinton. And I might’ve voted for McCain over Obama if McCain hadn’t chosen Palin. But what’s happening is disgraceful. Shameful. Unforgivable. I can’t see myself voting for a republican for national office ever again in the absence of some colossal democrat fuckup. Which is not unthinkable.

He’s a joke, doesn’t live in his state, can’t be governor, but yes all the politicians are ridiculous. The amount of tribal signaling here is awesome, keep up the good work.

Eric Swalwell hasn’t shown up to a house vote since November. He doesn’t do his job.
