  1. The Verge has an excellent segment on its Friday Vergecast podcast called “Brennan Carr is a Dummy”, where this guy’s idiotic and autocratic measures are reviewed and promptly called out on their ridiculousness.

    Highly recommended

I fully support Jimmy Kimmel interviewing and embarrassing republicans on his show. Sounds like great television to me! He should start with the silly twat running the FCC.

  3. Gee…if only Republican president Ronald Reagan hadn’t gotten rid of the Fairness Doctrine…

  4. Hopefully they will be capable of fact checking them. They just go on air and lie. Then the lie gets out and retold and then becomes interpreted as the truth by some members of our society.

    So pathetic.  Entertainment isn’t news.

I don’t forsee many conservatives having the balls to go on Kimmel.

Kimmel can do YouTube interviews with Democrats and draw the same audience. Rest of the time on his ABC show he can rag on Trump the entire time.

THE VIEW asks republicans to come on. Most refuse.

But, at what point do you stop giving air time to psychos? I’m being serious. Many high ranking republicans who in theory would „present the opposing view“ are psychos. Why would I want to hear from anyone condoning kidnapping women and children?

The insanity and stupidity of Carr is astounding. Or maybe he’s just another bad person.

  8. Once again literally doing something people USUALLY complain about in making everything political

This is against the first amendment.

It is not Jimmy’s fault if there are no Trump supporters who have sense of humor and intelligence.

  10. Wouldnt this mean the right wing radio stations have to have equal time to left wing shows as well?

  11. AlwaysAGroomsman on

If we are going to demand equal time on tv shows, regardless if they are news or not, I want Billy Porter on Tim Allen’s show.

Is the FCC tired of getting it’s collective asses kicked? The Jimmy Kimmel thing backfired last time.

They should put on the most ill informed mouthbreather they can find, to fairly represent the GOP base

  14. So basically Regan does away with the fairness doctrine and now the Republicans are have a fit because „Its not fair“.

  15. So where does this leave Musk & Murdoch with their kazillions of bucks for media expenditures during campaigns?

  16. TheBirdBytheWindow on

They won’t go on so it limits what they can talk about.

We’ve been down this route before in the 60s.

  17. Simple, don’t invite politicians as a guest on the show, then you won’t have to provide equal time to an opposition politician. These are supposed to be entertainment programming shows. Let’s keep them that way (I don’t mean not having political satire, commentary, etc., just no politicians as guests).

Oh, I got this. Colbert is out of a job soon. The host of the Colbert Report would be the perfect right-wing correspondent for this job.

So conservatives killed the fair ness doctrine by n the 80’s to launch Fox ‘News’ and now they are upset that stations aren’t giving both sides fair time?

    Strange.
