Missing [Camp Eagle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Eagle) in Bosnia
Edit: looks like it was handed over to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2007
That’s a huge base in Oman.
Cool graphic actually
(that we know about)
Tine to quit all of them.
France again being (un-)based af
The French have been the most intelligent ones in that regard.
Out.
Very impressive by France to have not any US bases on their soil. Germany was just penalised for their loss in WW2
EU must get rid of US bases at all, and start funding their own armies,
Only death is permanent, just saying
start dismantling them

There’s more than the map shows. Poland has 9 military bases with US presence and 5 bases with NATO presence (in practice the NATO bases are staffed with US military as well). There’s also 1 permanent US base, opened in 2022 or 23.
4 more US bases are currently under construction, Poland is paying 500 million dollars for them.
There’s more or less 10 000 US troops in Poland on rotation
Oh look at that, there’s already a US base in Greenland
Sir, why not any in Russia?
Norway is full of american bases but none on the map?
Thats a lot of soft and hard power. I am not able to fathom why they want to lose it
I live not far from a norwegian military base, and even if it’s not a permanent US military base, the US military have access to it, and there’s often US soldiers around. So the presence of the US military in Europe is far bigger than what this picture suggest
I wonder if they pay for the permission to be there, and do they even say thank you?
It should be noted that there are around a hundred American nuclear warheads spread across bases in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey as part of NATO’s nuclear sharing programme.
These weapons are supposed to protect Europe from the Russian threat.
Getting rid of American bases is all well and good, but will the French and British replace these bombs? (No) If they did, would the host countries have the right aircraft to carry these bombs? (No)
I keep seeing Iceland on these „US bases in Europe/World“ maps, but that base was closed 20 years ago, and ownership transferred to Iceland. Today, the facility is being leased to NATO members.
Isn’t it missing the Artillery Kaserne in Garmisch-Partenkirchen?
There’s still a US base in Iceland? Didn’t it close in 06 or is there another secret base I’m not aware of.
The one in Iceland has no active troops as far as I know. The US decided in 2006 to leave Iceland in 2006 and closed the Air Base.
Sweden has no US military bases but I believe they are allowed to use our bases and storage facilities.
