Hallo aus Kanada! Wie der Titel schon sagt, bin ich auf der Suche nach Kochbüchern, da ich mit meinem Vater ins Gespräch kam und sein Gesicht aufleuchtete, als ich nach der Kochkunst seiner Mutter fragte. Leider sind meine beiden Großeltern auf seiner Seite verstorben und wir kennen keine finnischen Verwandten, daher kann ich sie nicht fragen.
Bisher sieht es so aus, als ob es das ist, was ich suche (gute Rezensionen, Rezepte im Stil der Hausmannskost, veröffentlicht in den 60er Jahren, also wahrscheinlich die Art des Kochens, die meine Oma gemacht hätte). Ich frage mich nur, ob jemand dafür bürgen kann oder andere Vorschläge hat?

As a Finnish finn who has looked into this a bit, there are woefully few available in English. I have found the best success compiling a few;
Phaidon’s Nordic cookbook (which has finnish in it as well as the other nordics, and it’s quite traditional!) and added other finnish cookbooks to complement it – the more decent ones tend to be modern/contemporary finnish food oriented, and quite limited in their scope. There is no one „great“ food bible for us just yet.

I have not looked at the book by Beatrice, so no opinions regarding that one.
