      He’ll announce ‘the deal’ which will be exactly the same deal as already exists which already gives America defence rights and there’s a deal where they work together to survey for rare earth development. (This actually expires soon so Trump will use that as the way to say he got a new deal)

      Absolutely no excuse not to be untangling ourselves however possible from the USA as fast as we can. This is no way to be conducting foreign relations. We need to get on with seeking partnerships, trade and services from within Europe and our allies beyond rather than relying on the same old USA options we always have. They cannot be trusted. They elected this guy *twice*. In less than a decade. We need to be working nonstop to reduce our dependence on them.

      Hopefully the UK can learn from this. We need to be reluctant to give preferential treatment to the US and make strides towards more self-reliance. This may be market manipulation but even so, it has caused a ripple effect throughout Europe. Nobody wants to deal with a version of the US that is prone to tantrums and threatens allies it forgets the name of. We also can’t have a national defense crisis and deploy officers to Greenland, whenever a new part of the Epstein files is due to be released. It’s expensive and detrimental to our security.

      Good. We still need to extract the USA military and intelligence services from our country. They’ve shown they will tolerate one of their leaders intending to go to war with Europe to steal land, they cannot be trusted.

      That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take his comments in his threat seriously, but we also shouldn’t leap like salmon every time he opens his gob
