      Why did you split up Greenland into -3:30 and -2:30 but not India into +5 and +6?

      If India is one whole zone, why not have all of Greenland at -3?

      Why keep any of the non-integral zones if you’re doing everything new anyway?

      Is this about making the borders as straight as possible or to try and get every region in the time zone it should be in?

      A time zone going straight between the low countries and germany / france and switzerland would be horrendous. Imagine Strassbourg, Geneve, Aachen, Nice, Basel and Maastrich being in the border of the time zone.

      For Canada, splitting SW quebec and eastern Ontario would be immensely inconvenient. The capital Ottawa is on the border with QC so its sister city Gatineau would be in a different time zone. So many people work on one side and live on the other. Hell, the federal government has most offices all over both cities. Nice try though, good effort

      Putting Montreal and Ottawa into two different time zones is a choice, but this map seems to purposely say f-you Saskatchewan, so on that alone I’ll support it, lol

      Yukon would share a time zone only with islands off the coast of British Columbia, and there would be two other time zones between them, the border of which would be a 2-hour difference. It would get pretty messy around Alaska’s capital.

      You divided China. Thats pretty much violating political borders since China sees having a single time zone as a politically unifying factor.

      You could split Mexico where the states east of Oaxaca and Veracruz are -6 lining it up with the rest of North America.

      Honestly, even though it is „straighter“, splitting Brazil and Uruguay doesn’t feel right

      Arkhangelsk oblast of Russia is split into two time zones. Main part of the oblast is in the +3 zone and Novaya Zemlya archipelago is in the +4 zone.

      If you’re changing timezones anyways why keep all the fucked up half time zones in central and south Asia? And wtf did you do to china? Both mogonlia and inner Mongolia should be +7
