Due to NATO and basing agreements, the US/the wider alliance have access to Greenland for all meaningful military purposes such as air/navel assets to control the arctic or North Atlantic.

A strong U.S. is in Greenland. Greenland and Denmark have long allowed and supported a U.S. military presence in Greenland as part of the cooperation that underpins NATO.
Wrecking NATO will not strengthen the security of the U.S. or the arctic region, it will directly weaken the western world and the U.S. itself as it’s military industry will suffer from falling demand and orders as traditional western allies seek to buy from other partners rather than an unreliable U.S.
