Benjamin Franklin warned us in the closing speech of the 1787 constitutional convention. If the country becomes poorly administered the republic will fall into tyranny.

Another day, another utterance that would have any other president facing impeachment.

  3.  “Sometimes You Need a Dictator”

    An American President said that!

Just think about if Obama, Clinton, or Biden had said that… The GOP would be going berserk trying to impeach them.

  4. BlotchComics on

While campaigning, he said he was going to be a dictator on day one and was still elected.

    Does no one remember that?

We need a person that puts the constitution first and not his wallet. Btw where are the Epstein Files?

America, we simply must remove Trump from office. It is beyond embarrassing when he is on the world stage. He brings us nothing but shame and pain and everyone else is to blame.

Yesterday I wrote my Congressional Representatives – House and Senate.  I copy the body of my message below for anyone the who wishes to use it as a template for a similar letter to their representatives. We must make our voices heard and heard now.

    Start of Text…

    Dear Senator/Representative,

I write to you of a grave concern I have with what is happening in America.

**(Use this space for any introductory personal information about yourself, i.e., how old you are, where you are from/live, what you do, if you are a veteran, etc.. etc., )**

It is obvious to many that DJT is the figurehead of a RICO Administration doing great harm to our country, our NATO allies, and the ideals of freedom and democracy around the world.

I will not go into details on this administration’s desecration of our Constitution as I trust you are fully aware of the corruption and crimes that are occurring under this administration – the blatant disregard for due process, the separation of powers, and the rule of law that underpins our governance processes.

**Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution states that the President, Vice President, and all civil officers can be removed from office if impeached and convicted for treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. This is the core constitutional basis for impeachment in the United States.**

I call upon you to make it a priority to work with Congressional House and Senate representatives to evoke Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution. The evidence of treason, bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors is overwhelming and on display for all the world to see.

How is it even possible that our SCOTUS has ruled that it is okay for the president to commit crimes when the constitution says otherwise? It is beyond the pale – way beyond.  Americans are getting angrier every day and will soon be raging at their representatives to develop a collective backbone and stand up to DJT to get him and his cohorts out of office ASAP.  Today would not be too soon. Every day he remains in office brings needless pain, suffering, and even deaths – to America and beyond.  There is no need to wait until midterms that are now at risk.  The time for action is now.

Again, I implore you to work with your colleagues in Congress in a bipartisan effort to evoke Article II, Section 4 and rid America of this festering cancer.

With great respect to you and for all that you do for the people of (State) and our Nation.

    Sincerely,

     (Your name)

I had a MAGA tell me this the other day before they deleted their comment:

    >We absolutely want Trump to be king.

I’ve always thought of Republicans in the House and Senate as self-serving cowards. But in my heart of hearts, I thought that if the chips were REALLY down, they’d grow a spine and do their duty.

    Boy was I wrong.

In 1775, we tarred and feathered traitors to the Glorious Cause, and we tore down houses of collaborators brick by brick. I just wanted to remind everyone of that.

Can outlets (especially liberal ones) just stop already with the whole “Saying The Quiet Part Out Loud” cliche?

It’s not 1996 anymore. Saying the quiet part out loud is the whole freaking point with Republicans for more than the past decade. Their voters don’t punish it, they relish it. It is no longer the quiet part. And they love that liberals impotently wag their fingers at this as though it’s shaming proudly shameless people or something.

Also, every time I see these “not using dogwhistles anymore” cliches, I’m like, uh, what’s the implication here, that cynically hiding the ball is somehow better?

  11. „We got good reviews on that speech.“

His priorities are ALWAYS likes and hearts.

Popular vote, Inauguration turnout, number of awards given…

I despise this mound of sickly orange flesh.

  12. AirportSea4393 on

There is NEVER and HAS NEVER been good for either country or its people! As usual the demented wannabe orange slug king is embarrassing himself.

  13. And sometimes you need a Revolution.

Be careful what you call yourself, Donny.

  14. Long-Tradition6399 on

No … no we really don’t. I’ve been on this planet for 50+ years and I can truthfully say that I’ve never thought … „ya know what’d make things better …. a dictator making things better.“

I learned history in school and continued reading in my private life, no call for dictators. Nothing good comes of it.

  15. Competitive-Bike-277 on

Rome thought that too. Then they found out the hard way that you never need a dictator.

  16. BestInteraction1669 on

The American Republic has come to an end. After 250 years of freedom it is no longer the land of the free

  17. Winter8Bones on

Not like he’s been subtle before this…how many „jokes“ and insane ramblings before the world stands up to him for real? Trump may very well trigger the next global conflict unless Americans puts a stop to this…

  18. Helpful-Macaroon-654 on

He’s noticeably lost his inhibitions lately. Reading notes out loud from little Marco… Posting texts online from Macron… he seems mentally ill to me. Something is more off than usual.

  19. Can we stop with the “Saying the quiet part out loud.” Line? There are no more quiet parts.

  20. BigBangAssBanger_3D on

Was that ever meant to be quiet? I always assumed it was an open secret.

  21. artbystorms on

A dictator to do what? Threaten to invade a sovereign country, then impose tariffs on those who disagree, then say he won’t invade, then remove the tariffs?

Dictators at least have goals. Trump is just a dementia patient with violent mood swings.

  22. CrimsonHeretic on

All Republicans are fascist domestic terrorists. They just stopped hiding it.

  23. Republicans learned after Nixon that you should never admit wrong doing. This was compounded by the fact that they were never punished by the electorate by failing to seat a Democrat pick for SCOTUS. Once they got the fix in at the top court the game was over. Without significant painful political change, this pattern will continue until US Democracy is illiberal as Russia.

  24. Sadandboujee522 on

The quiet part? Are we forgetting that this degenerate psychopath posted an AI video of himself wearing a crown, flying around in a jet and dumping shit onto the “No Kings” protesters a few months ago?

  25. ruffianrevolution on

And sometimes you need four fifths of a country’s population to get off it’s arse and remove a dictator.

Don’t lose sight of the fact that while the US is still a democracy, trump is still just an employee.

  26. Funny thing is, I don’t even see many maga arguing against the fact that this has become a fascist dictatorship. They know it has, they’re just fine with it because it’s their „team“ that is in power.

  27. 0neHumanPeolple on

He’s saying the quiet part out loud because, cognitively, he cannot distinguish what is and isn’t appropriate to say in whatever setting.
