I’m dumb at history so bear with me. But in this case will whole USSR lay down for Germany? I mean, there was accident with submarine near with „Novya Zemlya“ from Germany’s side so therefore it’s not „Safest places“ at all and I can say about other areas. Yes, it is cold but many recources and other stuff

  2. The Greenland affair is probably based on the assumption that the arctic circle will be a significant theater of WW3. Nearly the inverse of this map.

I’d say anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere is probably a bad place.

how is living in the places you can’t plant food safer than living in highly productive regions that will probably not even see any fighting?

Why would the Manitoba portion of the Hudson Bay be unsafe unlike the rest?

This is just stupid. Revealed by the microplastics in your brain. What does even WW3 mean in this scenario? What countries are involved? OP just selected most north and south places and bhutan 💀

All of natos sub /nuclear detection stuff is off the coast of Norway. I call bs.

    NO WORLD WAR WITHOUT AUSTRIA!

We should conquer Greenland and blame it on Germany.

  9. Is this map just to show the fact New Brunswick Canada will be wiped off the map come WW3?

Bhutan gets pretty much everything from India so they aren’t gonna last long with nuked neighbors.

All central Europe get nuked but the swiss arent? Does the zar Vladi keep there his poket money?

I mean… America would be pretty well defended. We’re obviously a target, but nobody’s rolling up to this country looking for a fight.

Alaska is not safe, four major military bases, missile defense shield, oil pipeline.

Canada, Australia and New Zealand are all Five Eyes nations, how is that „neutral international policies“? They are literally 3/5ths of the primary multi-national counter-intelligence network opposed to Russia and China, amongst others. Australia is also part of AUKUS, basically the cowboy military alliance. Canada is part of NATO, which has an active war on its borders, and has a belligerent af neighbour, who will unquestionably be part of any broader WWIII. China was conducting military exercises in the Tasman Sea last year, considering Australia or NZ too „isolated“ to be affected by any conflict is naive and a geographic oversimplification.

Greenland and Iceland are both being targeted by the US at the moment, to varying degrees, and the Canadian Arctic may not be far behind. Norway and northern Finland border Russia. I don’t know how serious conflict over the Falkland Islands would be nowadays, but it’s a weird place to highlight here given it’s an unresolved issue. I don’t know, this map pisses me off.

So Norway and northern Finland, both NATO countries directly bordering Russia, would be safe? But the Amazon jungle and the Sahara desert would be super dangerous?

  16. Yeah… and Russia is absolutely coming for Svalbard if the US takes Greenland

  17. SubnauticaFan3 on

i could probably see new zealand being safe but idk about everything else

    „Low strategic Priority“

    Svalbard and Greenland.

Uhm… sure tell that to Putin and Trump.

  19. rustedmeatpuppet on

Greenland… im not sure because that’s where this is all going to start

  20. Ah yes, the Canadian Territories and northeast Siberia— places almost entirely reliant on calories imported from warmer growing regions— are perfect places to be when farming and global supply chains become impossible.

  21. Wait! Diego Garcia?!? Dude! That’s gonna be one of the No.1 nuclear targets! So is Guam! 🤣🤣🤣

  22. The-Copilot on

I call bullshit, this map has Guam, Diego Garcia and Vladivostok (Russia’s pacific fleet base) marked as safe.

All three would be major targets in a WW3 involving the US and Russia. Not to mention the GIUK gap and the current belief that the artic will likely be a major theater.

Yes Norway, a founding member of NATO, famous for its neutrality 🤦‍♂️

Finnish Lapland and Norway make no sense. Both were major hotspots during WW2, with the majority of structures burned down by the end of the war (Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland Lost 90% of all it’s buildings)

Both Finland and Norway have major military bases up north specifically for the defense of the Arctic. All of Finlands F35s are in Lapland for example.

When WW3 breaks out, which if it does, would definitely involve Russia, Finnish Lapland and Norwegian Finnmark would be one of the major targets for invasion and bombing
