Dänemark verleiht europäischen Produkten einen Stern. Denken Sie, dass belgische Supermärkte dasselbe tun sollten?

  1. Yes – because I believe people are willing enough to switch more to European products, but too lazy to figure out which ones are.

Yhea it’s down right stupid we haven’t done that it is a tiny thing to implement for a potential bigger revenue for eu manufacturers even before this whole tradewar.

  3. Two birds with one stone, considering the outrage about Mercosur…

But the question I had always was – will I stay able to afford European products? Farmers‘ stuff isn’t exactly cheap, and a disability income isn’t meant for much else than survival…

Very much in favor of this. I already try to boycott American products this just makes it that bit easier

I already sent an email to Lidl about it many months ago but never got a reply.

Yes I am in favour. Most Belgians don’t give a flying fuck about world politics and economy though, so I think the effect will be pretty underwhelming.

I just looked up Procter & Gambles product portfolio… I am surprised how many essential products they sit on…

Can confirm those stars appeared everywhere from 1 day to the next around april last year when the orange fascist threathened tariffs the first time.

In theory it’s good but the lines can get pretty iffy.

Is Budweiser european? Owned by inbev (belgian) so yes?

Is Côte d’Or european? Owned by Mondelez (american) so no?

This happened in Canada for Canadian products when Trump first hit Canada with tariffs. This did have a major effect.

  11. I’d definitely be looking for it.
I’d also like an app like Yuka for that, that would trace a product’s journey

    No reason why not.

Canadian stores are now flagging Canadian products with a maple leaf. They also indicate clearly if something is American.

  13. This should have been done years ago. Arguably, it’s more important than nutriscore

  14. This will probably end up being used by the next Trump imposter for the decline of wealth in america and the majority of people who actually vote will be gullible enough to believe it and vote in a president who will go to war with europe rofl.
