One theory is that Musk wants data centers there because it is cold and data centers generate a lot of heat and need cooling. Unknown if there are rare earth metals there or not. Trump is getting his orders from the billionaires, and he is willing to give it to them as long as they pay him. Now the US military is doing the bidding of billionaires instead of protecting our country.

So, per the article the donor has been in the process of purchasing a Venezuelan based refineries that operate in the United States that has the infrastructure to process the heavy crude for “years”. Qatar was chosen to hold the proceeds from recent sales to avoid lien claims from Venezuela creditors. We will see what happens, Venezuela desperately needs infrastructure investment which will likely come from US based companies (publicly traded) and the oil proceeds.
