Die japanische Premierministerin Sanae Takaichi kündigte am Freitag ihren Plan an, das Repräsentantenhaus aufzulösen, um am 8. Februar vorgezogene Parlamentswahlen abzuhalten. Der offizielle Wahlkampf soll am 27. Januar beginnen und darauf abzielen, das Fundament ihrer Regierung zu festigen.

It’s official. We’re going to have an election early next month.
>Prime Minister Takaichi stated, „I would like the people of Japan to decide directly whether they can entrust the management of the nation to Sanae Takaichi,“ indicating her intention to put her own future on the line.
If LDP loses, Takaichi may be ousted out. Her PM debut will be short lived then.
