      What’s not in the headline is the US citizen calling out the ICE agent for having ***the same accent*** that he does, and turning the questioning around –

      > you have an accent

      > *you* have an accent

      > where were you born at?

      > where were *you* born at?

      Obvious racism aside this shows that ICE agents don’t even have the most basic law enforcement training, Even really dumb cops usually know not to say things like that out loud!

      They usually make up something so they can at least pretend to be legit. ICE is so stupid they don’t even know how to do cop racism right!

      I’m so disgusted by the complete capitulation by people at the top, I don’t even know what to do with myself. Trump could’ve been kneecapped by a few adults in the room but they all just…laid down.

      Somebody should start building the prison complex we’ll need to remove anyone who was part of the border patrol or ICE from society. I’m not even pro-incarceration, but fascists don’t count.

      This reminds me of telling someone you’re from New Mexico, and they reaction is „wow your English is good!“ Or „you dont have an accent at all!“

      Time and time again there’s a core group who want to define what being an American is by saying no to everything.

      Long ago they forced Indians to speak English and reeducated young kids, forcing them to take on new anglicized names and couldn’t learn or speak their native tribes language. They broke up tribes and forced them into being individuals. (Dawes Act)

      Then demanded new immigrants assimilate by only speaking English, shortened and changed their names to more pronounceable ones, and some said they needed to eat more bland foods, shamed them into avoiding pungent scents and spices.

      By stripping away newcomers heritage and past they made America dull, boring and unhealthy. Then, to add insult to injury, Americans started businesses copying immigrants foods but was so altered you couldn’t see or taste what the roots were.

      (Irony is now ICE and DHS agents are just the types to go to a taco or pizza shop on their lunch break.. in between raids on the very people making Americans and lives richer, easier and more diverse).

      yes they are racially profiling folks. point blank if you look non white and/or have an accent they are going to stop you and try and kidnap you. it’s so ridiculous that we have ill trained idiots out here chasing down any non white person meanwhile instead of local cops helping their community by being intermediaries they just help their maga bros in ICE.
