We’re starting a war in our streets against our own citizens just to distract from these damn files.
Why is this even a question for a poll: By their own account, they have not released more than a fraction of the files. That makes it a stipulated fact.
We don’t THINK they’re holding back information, they ARE holding back information.
The government is, of course, hiding powerful people in the Epstein files, unless they happen to be Democrats.
To save you a click, 16 percent of Americans are braindead buffoons who think that releasing mounds of redacted text and a few photos is „making an effort to release all information possible“.
Here’s a non inclusive list of the many story changes and ‚coincidences‘ preventing these from being ‚released‘ over the last year-ish:
* Trump campaigns on releasing these files.
* Bondi former Trump lawyer appointed to the DOJ says she has them and they’re under review.
* Bondi shockingly says they don’t exist.
* Trump says they’re a hoax created by the deep state.
* Trump says they’ll ruin lives if released.
* The FBI is reported then confirmed to be using thousands of agents to flag mentions of Trump
* Trump says someone should investigate Bill Clinton being in the files.
* Trump is lashes out about why people are still talking about all of this fake news
* After meeting with another of Trumps private lawyers turned DOJ lackey Ghislaine Maxwell is moved to ‚club fed‘ and is getting closer and closer to being released
* Johnson claims Trump was an informant then quickly recanted
* Patel claims Epstein only trafficked people to himself
* Pictures with and letters to Epstein released almost immediately after Trump says he didn’t have involvement with him
* Johnson refuses to hold vote on releasing the files
* When congress had enough votes Johnson sends congress home and refuses to swear in deciding member for nearly 2 months citing ‚the shutdown‘
* The house forces a vote 427-1 the 1R citing victim privacy; Senate passes it unanimously with no vote
* New pictures and evidence of Trump and Epstein are released.
* The day of the deadline the DOJ says it will take weeks to release
* The day of the deadline they release hundreds up on hundreds of completely blacked out pages and heavily redacted photos except for Democrats – just like everyone said they would.
* The WH says releasing these means they’re fully cooperating and have done more for the victims than anyone else.
* There are suddenly hundreds of millions of additional documents to review
* DOJ says Congress can’t make them release the files.
At every step of the way Republicans are flip flopping, finger pointing, and doing whatever they can to discredit or prevent these files getting out in their entirety.
Whoever leaked them would be a hero
Furthermore, the Trump Regime is flagrantly trying to start conflicts with other nations for overtly bs reasons as further distraction from the Epstein files to protect the Pedo in Chief.
The hilarious headline implication that Americans‘ thoughts about static observable conditions eventually just dissolve for no reason really. „oh I don’t really believe that anymore“ and nothing is different at all
If there was nothing there, the Trump administration would’ve released them already. Even a redacted version if it didn’t lead to questions. And it just implicated Clinton and some rich people, it would’ve been released. So how does one not conclude that Trump and allies are in the files and implicated?! And how having that out there is preferable for them to what is in the files?!
The same disappointed people who were unrealistically relying on the release of the Epstein files to „save us“ from Trump and somehow end his Presidency, are the same people who are now hyping up the midterm elections as some kind of new way to „save us from Trump“. Spoiler Alert: It won’t.
The midterm elections aren’t going to matter anyway even if the Democrats win by a landslide. Trump will never recognize or acknowledge that a Democrat-controlled Congress has any authority or oversight over him in any way. At best, he will say the elections were fake/rigged and simply ignore Congress. At worst, he’ll have them arrested.
Trump has the PERSONAL loyalty of the DOJ and the Pentagon. With the planet’s most powerful military and police in his pocket, he’s just going to do whatever he wants. This is just going to get SO much worse.

Dude I’m so sick of these kinds of headlines, it’s an established fact that they’ve released barely 1% of the files they have. They have been stalling and missed a deadline their own party set. They are now trying to sue to say that congress can’t tell them what to do. So it’s not something a CNN polls results just happened to indicate, it’s fucking happening. I mean the current argument in court boils down to something like “Well, the legislative branch is only responsible for creating law, and judicial branch can only rule on what laws mean. Congress didn’t specify how their law should be applied. Really it’s down to the DoJ to determine how and when to apply laws, so you can’t make us release the files just because congress and the courts told us to. So we’re gonna just not release them.”
My simplification is likely not quite accurate. Their position is so batshit insane that I’m not sure I fully comprehended what they were trying to say and lots of new insane shit has been forced into my brain since I read the argument.
But it’s pretty fucking clear that they’re just going to continue saying “lol, no. You -wish- we’d release the files! Get rekt libs!”
