**Trump supporters and insecure men more likely to value a large penis, according to new research**
New research published in the journal Psychology of Men & Masculinities provides evidence that men who feel insecure about their masculinity are more likely to place a high value on having a large penis. The findings suggest that **for some men, the penis serves as a symbol of status and dominance, and the desire for a larger one is partly driven by feelings of humiliation regarding failures to meet social expectations of manhood**.
The results revealed that both the importance of and the desire for a large penis were positively correlated with masculine gender role stress. The study also found that men who felt humiliated by the prospect of failing as a man reported a stronger desire for a large penis.
In terms of social attitudes, valuing a large penis was correlated with higher levels of religiosity and support for Donald Trump. However, statistical models suggested that the connection to political and religious views might be partially explained by the underlying masculine role stress. The strongest predictor for desiring a larger penis remained the feeling of insecurity regarding masculinity.
The Psychology of Men & Masculinities (PMM) journal, published by the American Psychological Association (APA), has a recent Impact Factor around 2.8-2.9 (e.g., 2.8 in 2024 from Web of Science, 2.893 cited by APA, and 2.948/2.95 for 2020) and a 5-Year Impact Factor of 3.1

At first I read it as: Trump’s supporters and insecure men value a large penis in a relationship as if it meant they want a partner with a large penis, not having it themselves. Then again didn’t the last conservative meeting caused a Grindr blackout due to having too much people on it in a small area?
For themselves or for the other men on Grindr?
Why are they always so obsessed with humiliation?
Isn’t it just as likely to be the other way around? Ie: men with a large penis are so much more confident that they feel less shame and less social pressure to conform. Other (presumed, but intuitive) correlates with a large penis, such as increased testosterone and therefore muscle mass and aggression, would feed in to this dominant personality/body type.
My mind went straight to the fact that President Johnson would pull out his johnson (named Jumbo) and slap it against the desk, among other places, and yet still signed the Civil Rights Act.
Porn has warped minds of men about more than just women. Guys, you have to understand that those elephant trunks in porn aren’t normal. Women don’t expect or probably even want anything that big. Average does the job just fine. Hands help. Communication is key. You don’t have to worry as much as this seems to show.
Idk I think men overall take pride in it at some point because they do have it or stop caring.
How often does having a small penis implied if someone is doing something you don’t like while other types of body shaming are discouraged.
It’s the lesser male equivalent of all the ads and social pressure women face on looks or assets.
A reasonable takeaway is that this isn’t really about anatomy, but about identity and social norms. When masculinity is framed around dominance, power, and winning, it makes sense that some men latch onto physical symbols of status. The political angle is interesting, but it’s probably reflecting broader insecurity and cultural expectations rather than something inherent to any one group.
Not sure this required a study.
That sounds pretty gay to me.
Reminds me of when NASA was making a portable bathroom solution, for specifically a males body needing to urinate. They came up with what was essentially a condom to urinate into. Listing them as small, medium and large. Apparently every guy grabbed the large urinary condom, even if it wasn’t accurate to their needs. So they renamed the sizes. Big, large and humongous if memory serves.
To a certain extent? It doesn’t matter what political stance a male takes. The only males who are ok with their penis being referred to as „small“ are the guys who already know they aren’t.
I could be their king. And yet I refuse…
Wait, so they keep thinking about penises? That feels weird if they are supposedly so into only women.
Yup! It has ALWAYS been penis envy….
Well yeah, a good chunk of them are closet homosexuals. Makes perfect sense.
