Ich versuche, die Geschichte eines Oldtimers nachzuzeichnen, der wahrscheinlich Ende der 1960er oder Anfang der 1970er Jahre in Irland fotografiert wurde.
Das Foto zeigt das Auto vor dem, was ich für Dromoland Castle (Grafschaft Clare) halte, obwohl ich für Korrekturen offen bin. Mich interessiert besonders, ob jemand Folgendes erkennt:
• den Standort sicher
• die Ära des Fotos
• das Auto selbst oder erinnert sich an ähnliche Tourenwagen in Irland zu dieser Zeit
Bei dem Auto handelt es sich um einen Jensen C-V8, der hier nie üblich war. Daher hoffe ich, dass die örtlichen Kenntnisse dabei helfen können, herauszufinden, ob das Auto zu Besuch war, vorübergehend zugelassen wurde oder in Irland besessen war.
Ich verkaufe nichts oder bewerbe kein Unternehmen, sondern versuche nur, die Geschichte des Autos für den Eigentümerclub ordnungsgemäß zu dokumentieren.

It shows up as a Jensen in the British MOT database, so if it was registered in Ireland it would’ve been registered in the north. It doesn’t appear to have any MOT records, so it left the UK/got destroyed sometime before 2005.
Based on the outfits and the Austin in the background I’d say your age estimation is pretty spot on.
This isn’t Dromoland Castle, it’s Blarney Castle House in Co. Cork.
Only thing springs to mind is that a poster that used to post on the motoring sections on boards.ie and on backroads.ie had a lot of photos of relatively exotic cars that he’d taken in Ireland in the pre-internet era and later on scanned. The photos mostly not from as far back as the early 70s but from the 1980s and early 1990s. He put up photos of an Aston Martin Lagonda at one point and I’m pretty sure he said the car had some connection to Dromoland Castle. Just thought I’d mention as it would be consistent with someone involved in ownership or management of Dromoland having an interest in exotic / rare automobiles.
