    1. Bangladesh is even within Asia a big outlier in population density for a country thats not a city-state (e.g. Singapore).

If the US were populated with Bangladesh‘ density, it would hold over 12 *bilion* people.

[Wild Fact](http://List of countries and dependencies by population density – Wikipedia https://share.google/HIGSCHohjKTPuy8Zo): Despite being the world’s most populous country, India’s population density (~488/km²) is lower than the Netherlands (541/km²) and South Korea (530/km²). India only ranks 29th globally in density.

I dont trust the numbers of countries like DRC and Nigeria at all.

    4. I’m pretty sure India has crossed 2 billion or smth, we just haven’t had a proper census in 15 years thanks to our great politicians who glorify religion over anything that actually matters.

    5. Wild when you know that Brazil at the time of independence had the same population as Portugal.

It’s fascinating Bangladesh has a larger population than Russia despite being many times smaller in area

    7. You could take a billion people out of each of India and China and they’d still be number one and number two,

Always blows my mind that the gap between 1-2 and 3 is a billion people. It’s such a massive step up. And the .4 for both is still bigger than the US population

Look at Ukraine, with a population of **less than 40 mil**, thinking it can outlast a country with a population of…wait for it: **over** **100 mil + 43 mil**

      **Ludicrous!**

As a Filipino, I think it is wild that the population gap between Philippines and Japan is closing quick.

    14. Somebody should just airlift a massive condom campaign in egypt. they are living like rabbits in that thin strip and they qol is on par with india

Many evaluate that the population of the Congo is significantly overestimated. In fact, not a single census has been conducted since the 1980s.

Ethiopia is also considered to be somewhat overestimated.
