Mandela Barnes is going to face attack ads over his defund the police comments. It’s what tanked his senate run.

    2. My great state of NY got both its first African American and Woman governors because a white man got in trouble.

    3. As from one from Wisconsin and progressive, Mandela Barnes is not going to win. He could not win the senate, I don’t know what he believes will win him the governors mansion.

    4. Byron Donalds of Florida will likely be the next black governor, based off the current polls which he is dominating his party primary, and hypothetical polling for the general election.

    5. What’s the blackest state that’s never had one? I’m guessing GA. Also, as someone from MD, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that MD is like the 3rd blackest state in the country

Interesting, would be cool to see similar maps for Hispanic, female, gay etc. governors.
