Basically the same logic they use regarding softwood lumber: because we haven’t sold all of our land to private land owners, and instead manage crown lands for the public good, they claim we’re unfairly subsidizing product.
Sure, fine, whatever. I say they *foolishly* drove up the price of goods produced from land that should have remained public. We shouldn’t have to follow them down their path of failure. Keep Crown Land in the hands of the Crown!

My god this is moronic. Mushrooms require a ‚wild‘ environment to thrive. I remember picking morels in Northern BC as a kid, they were worth $5 each back then. And they do just grow all over the place….of course, you have to know where to look, and they do well in old growth forests.
