As I have stated millions of times, the KIA is among the strongest rebel groups in Asia if not the strongest. They are certainly the strongest active group in Myanmar where they not only make clones of Soviet/Chinese weapons, but also clones of the [M320 grenade launcher ](https://www.reddit.com/r/ForgottenWeapons/comments/1ltszuc/more_photos_of_the_kachin_independence_armymade/)since at least 2021(not even China has done that afaik).

The KIA was established in 1961 by OSS-trained WW2 veterans, and they supply other groups from the Arakan Army and PDF to groups operating in both Myanmar and Northeast India like the Kuki National Army.

If the United Wa State Army actually started fighting the junta, they would be the #1 strongest active non-state group in Asia since they have multiple clones of Chinese weapons, MANPADs, armored vehicles, and [helicopters](https://www.cjfp.org/myanmar-in-the-dragons-shadow-chinese-patronage-and-ascent-of-the-united-wa-state-party/https://www.cjfp.org/myanmar-in-the-dragons-shadow-chinese-patronage-and-ascent-of-the-united-wa-state-party/). Instead UWSA mainly clandestinely smuggles arms to other groups while paying tribute to the junta.
