    When you think about it, It’s crazy how 19th century London was more advanced than most places in Africa are in 2026.

    Damn if you turn africa to the side abit it looks abit like australia. For some reason it changes my perception of it too.

    What’s the crescent that’s like… below Morroco and maybe a bit east? Looks like Sahara, but I don’t know African geography well.

    Right now it’s Asia, but after that, Africa will become the next growth engine of world GDP, provided they can sort themselves out.

    The lack of nighttime street illumination was an unexpectedly unsettling part of my travels in Africa. I walked down bustling streets filled with people milling about, and it was almost totally dark. Didn’t feel unsafe, but it had an eerie quality.
