Trump is only a banal symptom, an effect of what is wrong with the Senate itself. And the true Monster is the very Senate shocked by Trump’s actions. Any senator and corruption go together. Senators represent dirty money and nothing else. A fix and small number of senators by region (rich or poor, big or small) is the perfect recipe for corrupting democracy. The ancient roman senate is the model for modern day senates. Senators were owners of vast lands and their natural resources. American states are like roman estates.
