      Didn’t he suffer a stroke recently? Perhaps he’s not at a point in his recovery where he CAN physically get himself off. Typically, my take would be, “well that’s Hollywood for you” but in this instance I see a lonely older dude who just faced his own mortality in a big way and probably didn’t want to be alone away from home. Unless I hear otherwise, I’m not gonna condemn a man whose work I enjoy and who has come across as decent in his personal life for as long as I’ve been aware.
