„In a social media post Wednesday, St-Pierre Plamondon wrote that “despite our profound disagreements on the reasons behind our current collective difficulties and on the future of Quebec, François Legault has always been sincere in his desire to improve the fate of the Quebec nation.”“

Maybe focussing less on ideology and focussing more on reality would benefit Quebec’s POPULATION instead of focussing only on the „nation“ aspect?

Quebec is 9 million people of which about HALF of Quebecers are at least bilingual French-English and about a THIRD of Quebecers are first or second generation immigrants. And yet, the Partie Québécois consistently and vehemently pushes to homogenize Quebec’s society into a French-only speaking society while refusing to accept our imperfections, including the existence of systemic racism in our society.

It is one thing to promote the main language of our society (which yes, it is French!) but it is completely different to attack all the other languages as an attempt to preserve the so-called „purity“ of our culture (which never was unilingual by the way).

What is needed is MORE realism and LESS ideology!

La CAQ n’était pas très bonne mais le PQ me semble encore pire!
