That would be notable if public opinion had any impact on national policy…

An analysis from [three different camera angles](https://www.nytimes.com/video/us/100000010631041/minneapolis-ice-shooting-video.html) shows that Renee was driving away when the officer shot her.

In the moments leading up to the shooting, [the ICE officer’s own recording](https://imgur.com/a/pJvU7Vq) shows the officers getting aggressive before Renee drives away, and the officer that fired the shots steps in front of Renee Good’s moving vehicle, a practice that [many police forces ban](https://theconversation.com/ice-killing-of-driver-in-minneapolis-involved-tactics-many-police-departments-warn-against-but-not-ice-itself-271907).

It’s hard not to see this as a [4^th amendment violation](https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/LSB11336) as well.

There are a few law changes [that could save lives](https://theconversation.com/ice-killing-of-driver-in-minneapolis-involved-tactics-many-police-departments-warn-against-but-not-ice-itself-271907).

[Majorities of Americans say the ICE agent was not justified in the Minneapolis shooting and should face criminal charges.](https://today.yougov.com/politics/articles/53892-after-the-shooting-in-minneapolis-majorities-of-americans-view-ice-unfavorably-and-support-major-changes-to-the-agency)

[Minnesota law allows charges for crimes that result in death to brought at any time](https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/628.26).

ETA: [Polling from before the Jan. 7^th shooting](https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2025/12/15/growing-shares-say-the-trump-administration-is-doing-too-much-to-deport-immigrants-in-the-us-illegally/) shows that Republican support for ICE was driven mainly by whites, while Hispanic and Asian Republican support is much lower.

  3. Republicans really are horrible people, aren’t they? When you look at the level of support they give to ICE and its current operations and size it’s disgusting.

73% of republicans have seen video of the shooting and only 15% think he wasn’t justified.

    That’s so fucking scary.

I’m surprised Republicans actually have a favorable view of NASA and NWS. That being said, nothing surprises me about this poll. Republicans are a cult now and they just believe whatever Trump or Fox News tells them to.

Remember when poles said that majority of Americans were not going to vote for Donald Trump?

The agency: currently goons run by thugs.

But with 14 million illegals (look up what state population that equates to) and 7.5 million of them also working illegally, usually with identity fraud stolen SSNs, don’t go thinking ICE will just poof be disbanded.

This is a problem decades in the making and all solutions are messy. While the numbers of undocumented was previously never taken seriously, the conversation has completely changed.

We live in a time when masked government goons murdering citizens is not 100% unpopular.

Every person I know in my neighborhood thinks ICE is doing a magnificent job.

If only there was a way that the majority of Americans could make their voices heard.

I watched the video from multiple angles, slow mo, multiple rewinds, watched lots of analysis and which way the wheels were pointing, etc.    She looked like she was trying to run over a cop.  Maybe he could have possibly reacted differently, but that car sure looked like it was going to kill him   That is assault with a deadly weapon and that means he is justified to respond with deadly force to match deadly force.
