  2. What desperation. I know he can be flattered, but if she thinks this will make Trump install her as the leader of Venezuela she is mistaken. The remnants of the Maduro government have already cut a deal with Trump that will make him a lot of money. Her idolatry of him and her flattery will be received and no favors will be reciprocated.

    Machado made the only move she could possibly make, so I can’t fault her for that. Let’s hope this will pan out happily for her.

    In contrast, Le Duc Tho turned down Nobel Peace Prize when he knew he had to share with Kissinger. Still the only person to do so. Real men like him don’t give a damn about some shiny medal to brag on social media.
