      it really has been long over due for the potential for a more integrated military response. Europe has some of the most advanced military technology available and is capable of advanced tech development. its about time europe stopped relying on US tech.

      does this mean even more ability to keep an eye on things?

      thing is though this means either a lot of disjointed militaries and a lot of bickering over who does what and buys what from who, or it means individual countries signing over essentially control of their military to the EU, which is a pretty big step

      and one those who oppose it will find plenty to oppose

      personally not sure its a good idea, but if you are going to do it, actually do it and don’t just talk about it, whole hog or don’t bother

      It’s a bit of a double edged sword. Looking at the global situation it’s probably a necessity but once you have established a powerful military industrial complex you also get more lobbying to use it.

      EU, China and maybe India lately showed that they are the ones with geopolitical integrity and non-fascist worldview which would bring global stability that Russia, USA and Israel have been degrading since WWII and especially in the last 6-7 years.

      EU should realize this potential, its time for the USA hegemony to end.
