i am marking this because i have a similar problem. the handle only closes 2/3rds of the way when i try to close the door.

I think you might need some percussive maintenance. Close it harder. I need to push mine closed in winter.

Try to put them with the handle up while closed and then try again. Otherwise call maintenance

Did you try to move upwards the handle before and then move downwards.
This allows the bolts of the lock to move to the locking position.
      Some systems might be weird.

Close it, twist the handle it all the way up to activate the tilting mode, then try and tilt it out fully while the bottom stays in place. Then push it back in to the frame with the handle still twisted all the way upwards, and make sure the door is completely shut, now twist the handle down 180 to the „shut“ position

      Found this using Google:

To close a French door by lifting the handle upwards, this usually activates the tilt-and-turn mode (tilt-open ventilation). To close it completely from this position, you must push it into the closed position, then turn the handle 90° downwards, which locks it in place. If it doesn’t close, it’s often a problem with the mechanism’s adjustment: adjust the screws on the hinges with an Allen or Torx wrench to correct the alignment and pressure, or check the internal mechanism of the handle.

Could you show the lower part of the door? There should be another „thing“ that you can just push, then close and try again. Otherwise just call the landlord

    8. Close it, switch to tilting mode (handle upwards) then close it and the handle should be able to lock.

    9. I had this exact problem last night. Akwardly enough the window is exaclty the same model….(pm me.if you livr close to airport).

In my case what i did (after multiple videos and calls) was pull by hand those round mushroom.shapped things all over the door. Specially the ones above the door. They slide easily.

Basically the handle works fine but those metal things dont slide into the frame. You can probably hear some grinding if you force the handle.

    10. If is not a mechanical failure, is due to very cold temperatures + Low humidity.

      What you need is lubricant!
The only good one is Silicone (Can Spray). You need to open the door/window and spray in EVERY mechanism that lock the door (which is typically in multiple points to ensure a good seal).

Depending on the design, is a requirement to do it at least one time per year.
In my case I need to do it, otherwise, with time, to close you need to do a lot of force which will damage the mechanism.

This problem can occur all year round, but, by far, is specially in winter

    11. it’s misaligned. Either the hinges on the side or the notch near the locking mechanism. Sorry if I cant explain it better.

    12. had the same problem. the rubber „gasket“ around the door that seals it had come off in one location. probably because it got too dry as another commentor mentioned. Just slot it back in and you’re golden

    13. Check that nothing blocks those little crevices in which the bolts go . There are many of them all around the door .

If it’s not this , push on the right part , in the corners. Sometimes the doors get a bit curved , especially if you run the hood with all doors closed .

I have the same issue every winter with one of my windows of the same design.

The security mechanism (metal latch on the side of the window) needs to be pushed inwards by a metal piece of the other window for the handle to be turned/closed completely.

In winter, in some cases, the frame of the window deformes a bit due to the cold, causing the metal pieces to not fit perfectly, thus preventing you from turning/closing the handle.

**Workaround: Just push the whole handle/window frame towards the other (closed) window side while closing the window and whil turning the handle.**

    15. Woodworker here.
In winter, the gasket hardens and the window is harder to close.
If you have an allen key or some pliers you can turn some excentrics locking things to make it easyer to close.

I dont know the name tho… but if you set it to the smallest radius toward the inside of the house, it should close normally.
If you didnt understand I can try to explain it an other way/other language

Get the tradesman in to adjust the hinges so it closes smoothly again.
