Hallo mazedonische Freunde 🖐 Ich habe an vielen Orten gesehen, dass Mazedonier und Albaner nicht gut miteinander auskommen, aber es gab auch welche, die albanische Freunde hatten und sagten, sie verstehen sich gut. Würde sich ein Mazedonier um die politischen Ansichten eines Albaners kümmern, bevor er sich mit ihm anfreundet? Wären Sie zum Beispiel mit jemandem befreundet, der die Terrororganisation UÇK unterstützt und dennoch sagt, die Albaner hätten nicht genügend Rechte? Wie wichtig sind Ihnen politische Ansichten?

I would not care. I wont feel indifferent but I wont let that destroy our friendship. After all we are the same people who got brainwashed in politics and religion. The politicians do what they please anyway.

I had an albanian friend in HS. They were very progressive despite being very religious. They didnt even wear a hijab yet they prayed everyday from what they told me, they knew Macedonian very well and even loved reading Macedonian books. They even said that they feel both Macedonian and Albanian. However they grew up in a Macedonian majority community and I think their family has lived here pre WWII. I think it depends where they are from. For example, albanians from Karpos or Centar are very well integrated and dont have a problem with us, but an albanian from Cair or towns with albanian majority is a different case.

If they’re willing to be friends with a Macedonian then I’m sure they’d be open minded enough to talk about politics and find a common point
I’m a turk living in kosovo and now studying in macedonia. Like someone said, if it wasn’t for politics I don’t see why we wouldn’t be all hanging out together. Thankfully I never had any issues with each side.

I’m not friends with VMRO nor DUI supporters – they both play dirty games by just spewing nationalistic hate to get reelected. Anyone who falls for their games is not someone I’d want to identify with or be around.
Well, I think that people who support the KLA, and people that support slavic equivalent to that organisation, like Chetniks and Ustaše, are nationalists and they dont tolerate anyone outside their tribe. Normal people get along and dont care about that stuff. I get along with normal albanians, had friends as a kid, but stupid uncles, as always, tried to corrupt our innocence. Luckily my parents are normal and raised me to be respectful to other ethnicities
I used to work in a majority Albanian company, it was obvious that all of them supported KLA and UCK however I was able to build good relationships with the ones that were open to discussing and debating the hard topics without taking it out of hand, I have left that company however still talk and hang out to them, kapa dole za tie lugje, they changed my perception of albanians and honestly I see some of the points they make and why they act the way they do most of them actually have identified themselves as Macedonian and activly try to learn the language and everything realistically that’s the only way forward in this country where we both get along and build a future together, the older generations have ruined this in the past but as time goes on and people get more open I do believe in a future we coexist 🇦🇱💗🇲🇰
