      Most Azeris don’t deserve to live like the people of the countries above. They’ll support execution of homosexuals and wonder why the West has better standarts of living than Azerbaijan. Every nation deserves its own rulers.

      Joke aside, Azerbaijan is clearly in identity crisis. The war kept this on hold for a while but it will burst sooner or later.
      They must decide who they are, turks as ethnicity? Azerbaijani as ethnicity? Or something else ?
      Their alliances : Turks in Turkey ? US ? EU? Russia? All of them? None of them ?
      They must get rid of Aliyev dictatorship and monarchy. Are they willing to pay the price ? ( ie. civil war etc)
      What heritage do they claim ? Where does being Azeri begin ? ( cultural, historical, regional, lingusitic, religion etc )

      I mean… I get Ukraine, Finland, Poland Estonia and Lithuania, they were all former parts of Russia like Azerbaijan, and are today “western”, but what do Ireland and Korea have to do with anything?

      Yeah, the links with the ural-altai countries that are definitely disproven now but not the actually real links with Turkic or at least Soviet countries lol.

      Sorry dude love the culture (that’s why I’m in the sub) have many azeri friends that I met at uni but no it doesn’t you guys may not have much in common with the bottom group but certainly more than with us, if anything we in Western Europe have more in common with Armenians culturally by even that’s slim.
