      Is there any coordination going on in the head office about communications being sent out to mailing lists? I’m getting constantly spammed by every candidate and their campaign.

      It’s now at the point we’re I’m aggressively unsubscribing because I do use the account for things other than getting donation requests from the NDP.

      Hello Mr. McQuail, thank you for doing this! I have a few questions I was wondering if you could answer some or all of them? 

      First off, where would the NDP under your leadership stand in regards to military spending and rearmament? 

      Secondly, do you have a plan to start attracting outside voters to the NDP if you become party leader? Farmers and rural voters for example were once a strong core of the NDP but have since drifted to the Conservatives. 

      Next, I’m curious where would the NDP under your leadership stand with the future of USA-Canada relations?

      Finally, where do you stand on the Monarchy? (Obviously not a pressing issue but I’m curious).

      Good Afternoon Mr. McQuail!

      Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.

      For myself, I want to know if/how you would go about recapturing the blue collar vote in Ontario. I have worked in the steel industry for 19 years, and in the past decade the political climate has slid very much from Orange to Blue.

      I know it’s a complex problem, but I was curious about your thoughts.

      Thank you very much for taking the time today and answering some questions on this sub.

      I was wondering if you feel that the current NDP is too focused on identity politics and gender ideology and if you were leader of the party, you would focus more on traditional NDP issues (ie. worker’s rights, income inequality etc.)?

      Would you support lowering the rate of immigration from the 550k per year which it was at last year?

      I’d be interested to hear your opinion as you’ve spoken about degrowth before

      Hey Tony! I live in a majority Agricultural riding and there are obviously the big ticket items like right to repair and seed IP changes, I think are important but Id be interested to know what some other policy options you think the NDP should focus on to bring back our Farmer voters.

      Hey Mr. Mcquail, there’s been a bit of a debate in this sub over the years about who the NDP should represent, with a dichotomy between let’s say urban social activists vs more classically the working class union individuals . Do you have a view on what the “soul” of the NDP is in 2026? Do you take any inspiration from some of the new social activists in the USA? Mayor Mamdani or AOC for example?

      -Are you going to focus more on social issues or economic issues? How would you win back voters who went to the Conservatives because they felt like the NDP abandoned them?

      Hi Tony! I have a couple questions about AI. Could you give us your answer to this question, and also, how do you feel about AI being used by politicians for interviews and other interactions with the public?
