      Fair point to only mention American cities when talking to Trump, but doesn’t fill me with much confidence otherwise.

      Khan must be dreaming of London being safe place. He needs to watch videos of phone snatchers, knife attackes. Grocery store being looted in broad day light.

      Top 5 most crime ridden cities in Europe England has 3. Bradford, Coventry and Birmingham. Bradford being the worst in Europe.

      Trump could have picked a worst city in England but he picked London because he probably doesn’t know England has other cities. Caring about what he says and doing what Saddiq did by biting back is stupid. No one should humour him with attention.

      It is objectively not one of the safest cities in the world, what an ignorant and moronic statement. London isn’t even close to being one of the safest cities in the UK lmao.

      I’ll never understand why so many people in the UK desperately want our capital to have a reputation for crime, will side with American brain rot on trying to push such a false narrative, and even get angry at the evidence to the contrary.

      London has much lower homicide rate than most other major european cities and almost all US ones, yet weird right wing politicians continue to present it as some kind of no go zone where even the police are afraid to tred

      I’ve already mentioned this on another sub, while homicides fall, the perception of crime rate is formed by different metrics (as most people in our part of the world, luckily don’t bother about homicide on a daily basis). Crimes that most people are concerned these days (and criticise the police for) are theft (mobile phones, bicycles), burglary, shoplifting (we visibly see shops turning into fortresses), drug abuse. Apart from drugs, theft, burglary, shoplifting – are all on a massive rise for many years, with a huge acceleration over the last 3 years. I don’t have stats to show successful resolution rate for those, but I suspect that trend is downwards.

      People hating on London keeps the population under control, they are mental but I’m glad it makes my commute or walk around central that bit easier
