So what is the temperature in your flat? Get yourself a thermometer and give us a reading.
Left is for the Vorlauftemperatur
Basically the temperature of the water which is flowing through your heaters. Putting it on a higher setting means the heaters are getting hotter.
But this is not so easy like hotter equals to better heating performance…..
Have you checked the heaters?
Are those getting warm over the whole length?
If not those needs to be vented.
i had a similar heating system in my apartment before. in my case the left knob was indeed an adjustment for heating if outside temps where very low. but if you want to be sure you should look up a manual to that thing or ask the maintanence guy when he visits you (should show up twice a year).
edit: in my case there was the left knob and a central control panel in my living room where i could set what temp i want my flat to be. so i could set my flat to 22° but if it was freezing outside i had to adjust the knob to give the heater a bit more oohmph
Invest in a thermometre from Amazon, best case a smart one that constantly logs the temperature and humidity (15-20€), log the temperatures and see if it is indeed to cold.
As a minimum, you should be able to maintain a temperature of at least 18-20 degrees at all times.
maybe you have to deactivate „ECO“?
I would consider 18 °C sufficient and its the same in my flat…but I try to help
EDIT: ~~Did you check the water level of the boiling/heating unit? It could be that there is not enough water pressure…~~ just saw the Water pressure on the right gauge… its fine
The knob on the left does increase the heating intensity as far as I know… so it should help, I think.
Try to increase it to 5-6. Let old humid air out by opening the windows completely for 5 minutes (stoßlüften) before you heat. Because humid air is more difficult to heat up… Then let the radiators run on max and see if it changes the temperatures enough (to 20°C).
Keep it not forever like I instructed, for obvious financial reasons.
Go to each radiator and turn the knob (they each have from 0 – ❄️ – 1, 2, 3,4,5. The higher the number, the more hot water youre letting flow through, more heat per radiator.
I have the same boiler as you, but it doesnt matter how much hot water your boiler is storing, if you dont let it flow through your heating system.
Idk why my post cut off but this is the same landlord denying me to register anmeldung and i rented from wunderflats. She just seems unethical overall.
I have this exact boiler, turning the left one will make the water hotter – if your wall heaters are not blocked then this will heat up your room faster. Once its heated up you can reduce the left knob again. I leave in an attic apartment which is always cold, I usually keep the knob between 2-3; and wear clothes in the apartment.
It depends on how well your home is insulated. Is it an older building with old windows? Then 45°C or setting 3 is too cold. I would increase it to setting 4, at least when the outside temperature drops below 0 °C.
Keep in mind that this requires more gas and will therefore increase your heating costs. As soon as the outside temperature rises again, switch back to setting 3 or even 2.
Are the radiators heated on all surfaces? If not, you should let the air out from each radiator that is not fully heated on all surfaces. Then for sure the temperature will increase!
I have the exact same heater and mine stays [like this](https://imgur.com/a/2Nn4Xlx) the whole winter. If I’m freezing, I’ll turn the left knob to 3 or 4
