Would be a great outcome. It’s a joke that european sites route huge amounts of unencrypted data, which contains tons of personal data, through a US service provider.

Let them fight. Italy has some insane anti piracy laws and Clloudflare is jut another horrible techbro company.
After reading Cloudflares response few days ago i switched to Hetzner.

In this very case Cloudfare is right, the AGCOM went a wee bit too far with its overachieving anti-piracy system by blocking things that go beyond piracy.
Cloudfare’s reply went to far as well, bordering into arrogance and stressing the need of a European alternative, as pointed out in the article.

The EU should really band together for things like this. A company bans a country, the block should ban the company.

This article bringing up EU sovereignty when it’s Italy making unreasonable demands is quite the reach.

Italy is overreaching and Cloudflare is justified in threatening to cut off free service IMO.
What’s not justified is the absolute crybaby attitude of that CEO by running to daddy Vance. Sucking up to the fascist leadership like all his peers.
