I noticed that a lot of people here think with emotions and not logic. Just because you want something to happen right now doesn’t mean it will or is going to happen. Just because you think something should happen right now doesn’t mean it will. It may just take a little longer. Thank goodness, none of you is in charge of a country. Good lord, there would be wars every other week. While something wholeheartedly may feel good to do in the short term it may just be a country’s downfall in the long term.

A lot of people are panicking about Trump’s idle threats, but there’s really nothing to worry about if you know his pattern of behaviour.
Trump has two negotiating tactics that he uses almost exclusively: „throwing a hand grenade“ and „talking past the sale.“ He’s making an unreasonable demand and talking as though its a foregone conclusion, so as to solidify it as an already done deal in your mind.
With that in mind, he’s what’s almost certainly going to happen. Everyone is taking him very seriously right now, presuming his intention to take Greenland by force if necessary. There’s going to be months to years of negotiations to „talk him down“ from this position wherein they will eventually concede to selling the US some chunk of land in Greenland in order for them to build missile defense silos. Everyone will take this as a win because Trump didn’t get what he wanted, thinking they pulled one over him by forcing a compromise when in reality, that’s what he is most likely planning on already.
Even Trump would be surprised if they actually ceded the entirety of Greenland to the US as part of these negotiations.

They abducted a bad guy, killed like 100 people, and now the are telling Americans to get out of there while Oil companies tell them there is no interest right now in investing in Venezuelan oil production. They are incompetent.
