No, that’s incorrect. As an outermost region of the EU, and at France’s request, French Guiana has a European legal system that deviates significantly from ordinary law.

The island of Saint Martin will continue to be a bizarre situation. The French side is an outermost region of the EU. Therefore the EU treaties apply and is part of the EU Customs Area. The Dutch side (Sint Maarten) is an Overseas Country, so it is not part of the EU (although the EU allows[ simplified trade with Overseas Countries and Territories](https://trade.ec.europa.eu/access-to-markets/en/content/overseas-countries-and-territories-0)).

So despite the fact that there are no border checks between the two sides of the island, the French side will be part of this agreement, while the Dutch side wont be.

It’s like with the EU Roaming rules. With an EU SIM card your provider must allow you to use your minutes and data on the French side as if you were in your home country. But if you cross (or accidentally connect) to the Dutch side you are not protected by the EU Roaming rules and the fees you can be charged are unregulated

Bolivia is part of Mercosur, so is Venezuela despite its suspended state, map is incorrect.

The land border between France and Brazil is literally dense jungle with one single passage near the mouth of the river, EU-Mercosul agreements wouldn’t change that.

So I wonder if they will build some massive road or railway there and a big port. Would be nice to see.

  6. Europe puts rectrictions to their farmers that don’t apply to their imports, don’t know any country that is against their own food security.
