    I think it does, not because Venezuela will be able to ramp up production, but because the Americans think it will.

    It’s going to be really funny when Trump’s own cutting of USAID leads to enough radicalization of the Venezuelan people to seriously hamper their efforts to ramp up production.

  3. Oil companies aren’t investing in Venezuela. It’s way too, expensive and high risk.

    It doesn’t matter what Trump says, he can’t force them.

    They’ve already said no.

  4. No, there is a cost in transport and the type of crude that refineries can process. Canada has a pipeline directly to their refineries and the US will need to build a pipeline which is not cheap and can’t be done overnight. The recent drop in price of oil-related stocks in Canada is an opportunity to buy….IMO

    Trump is a narcissist and invading Venezuela is just another way to keep his name in the press.
