Ja, wieder ist eine Gruppe von Touristen in Gaustatoppen in Schwierigkeiten. Rettungsdienste werden gerufen. Es ist verdammt kalt und ungeschützt da oben. Ich hoffe, sie schaffen es.
Mein Appell an alle im In- und Ausland, die diesen Gipfel jetzt mitten im Winter in Angriff nehmen wollen: Stellen Sie im Voraus sicher, dass Sie dafür vorbereitet und geschickt genug sind und dass Sie über die richtige Ausrüstung und Kleidung verfügen, auch für den Fall, dass Sie für die Nacht oder bis der Sturm vorüber ist, einen Unterschlupf finden und eingraben müssen.

If they are American I apologize in advance.
The problem is that they do some self help book style preparations. Make a few trips and reads a few books.
Extremely rare to see these knuckleheads actually hike as part of an experienced group to learn something.
So doesnt matter how prepared they are. They have 0 experience.
We need to stop this talk about ‚preparation & knowledge‘ to them.
Its giving them the impression they can do it without gaining experience first.
UPDATE: They are localised, evacuated from the mountain, and is now seen to by medical professionals. Seems it went as well as anyone can hope for.
How do you even get lost up there? I can understand getting stuck, but lost? When there’s no fog? There’s no vegetation and it’s not that far from the road to the top. And given that some of the rescuers took the lift up to the top that seems to be the area they’d been.
They should pay for the rescue operation
