Hallo zusammen,

    1. Just fill it up, and make it level like any other hole. You should have to pay nothing for it then. No need to paint.

Is have a go at repairing it myself, if I were you. You might do a good job and the damage isn’t noted. And the worst case is it’ll need the same professional repair anyhow.

I think there’s a good chance you could avoid a significant professional repair bill.

Depends on if the walls need painted anyway. If yes, then you can fix it a bit or even leave it. I fixed similar damages when I moved out the last time and they accepted it, though I think the whole apartment was due for a paint job (was ca. 10 years since it was done).

How long have you been in the apartment? Wall’s life is 10 years so if you have been there 5 years you pay only 50% of the repair.

That said the fact people use those stupid white wallpapers instead of just paining the wall white makes the repair expensive (they need to remove the whole wallpaper from the wall, put it back and then paint).

I suggest you do yourself or pay someone from hire my husband/similar services to fix it with a bit of paste and paint

    5. Your liability insurance (Haftplfichtversicherung) will likely cover this (as most other smaller damages to the apartment).

If you also have other things that need to be fixed you can use your Haftpflichtversicherung to get it fixed and they pay for it
