That’s hilarious.
But I think that would have happened anyway I think if their product lineup didn’t continue to follow market trends.
Nout wrong with Greggs, but it’s hardly the best thing ever.
Oh no, Anyway. Surely this means price rises for all
I’ve never seen any greggs struggling for customers.
It’s more likely to be the ridiculous prices there now, I used to nip in for lunch a couple of times a week but once it started being £6+ for a shitty sandwich and a few pasties that stopped.
I make my own sandwich now and it’s much better. I haven’t been back since!
Labour have just annouced a tax cut for pubs. Now everybody with an unhealthy product that is waning in popularity wants a tax cut too.
Best freeze the tax thresholds for another 10 years so the poorest workers can pay for it.
>Tesco said on Thursday a trend towards healthier eating had contributed to growth in its fresh produce sales.
Hopefully the tide is turning and soon all the manufacturers of Ultra Processed Food will have to start making healthier food in order to keep their profits up.
…or the product just isn’t very good these days? Just a thought.
Greggs is hanging, and overpriced, and has been for a while. Probably something to do with it.
Their sausage rolls used to be one of the best quick grab snacks around and now they are cold and over priced, to go along with the gloopy slices that lack the feeling chewing any meat, or the dry chicken bites in the hot counter.
But yeh let’s just blame the weight loss jabs and take no accountability whatsoever.
Sure sure nothing to do with the ridiculous prices for poor quality reduced fillings etc
I love greggs. But I love greggs because it’s cheap half decent food. That’s was it’s niche. But they keep putting the prices up and the quality is going down. It’s losing its niche
No its the prices and quality I’m a Greggs addict I’ve even lost 4 stone over the last 7 months eating Greggs ( no fat jabs)
But this year I’m cutting down more because of prices
£5.70 was 4 sausage rolls at Leigh De La Mere but yeah let’s blame the fat jabs.
Okay, so this and the sudden news broadcasts of how people come off these things and put on weight faster makes sense. Fast food is pushing back against ozempic. Epic corporate battle.
Greggs products are getting shitter and their prices are getting higher. That’s what’s affecting their sales.
People can just be fatigued by sausage rolls and steak bakes.
Also prices too. It’s not a cheap treat anymore.
Why do only fat bastards shop at Greggs? What is Greggs anyway American here
£180 million profits and yet just keep raising the prices and blaming fat jobs
Every supermarket near me has had huge piles of Christmas food on sale since the 26th. I think it’s perhaps time to admit that there is an ongoing cost of living crisis and people can’t afford to spend how they used to. Businesses are coming up with increasingly insane excuses for it, but we’re in a recession, the US President is promising to start random wars and AI is apparently going to take everyone’s job.
If you have money, you’re saving it and if you don’t you’re not buying much more than essentials.
Cost over £7 for a couple of pasties and Fanta the other day. Bollocks to greg
There’s no way the people that eat at Greggs can afford weight loss jabs
Jabs, good one… The price to nice ratio is simply not there anymore.
Nowt to do with the overpriced, empty pasties they sell now, must be the flabjab causing it 🙄
Last year was my first Gregg’s free year, didn’t miss it. Overpriced rubbish.
Maybe it’s something to do with the fucking cold bakes that are sold as hot food 🤬
People are just eating out less to begin with, gotta cover rent and utilities first
This could potentially help save the NHS which currently spends around £12billion a year dealing with weight related illnesses.
Their sausage rolls are among the most basic I’ve tasted. The meat = bland. The pastry = like something from Iceland that you heat up in the microwave after a night out because you’re too pissed to cook and too pissed to care.
Give me one from the local bakery any day.
I was under the illusion that when I bought a sausage roll at the counter it would actually be hot which was my first and last mistake at Greggs.
