Hallo Leute, ich bin ein israelischer Tourist und halte mich für einen großen Armenophilen (ich erkenne den Völkermord an den Armeniern an und verachte die Tatsache, dass meine Regierung ihn leugnet) und ich mache hier sieben Tage Urlaub in Eriwan. Ich war in der Nähe von Khor Virap, dem Sewansee und dem Garni-Tempel. Ich wollte nur mitteilen, wie beeindruckt ich gestern Abend bei der Silvesterfeier 2026 auf dem Platz der Republik war. Die Musik war erstklassig, die Schneeatmosphäre war fantastisch und der Countdown bis Mitternacht war mit all den Drohnen und dem Feuerwerk ein Riesenspaß. Ich bekam buchstäblich Gänsehaut, als die armenische Hymne zu spielen begann. Es war eine unglaubliche Erfahrung für mich und ich habe auf meiner Reise hierher so viel Spaß gehabt.

I think the policy of denial is a thing of the past. Netanyahu recently acknowledged the genocide, but this was due to strained relations with Turkey. Even before Israel denied the genocide, the Israeli people already believed it had happened. However, relations will still be strained because of Azerbaijan

I’m Israeli too and my wife is Armenian. We lived in Yerevan for three years and I miss it a lot now that we’re back to Tel Aviv for family reasons. Armenia is a wonderful country and I wish our government wasn’t as much of a dick to it. Glad you enjoyed your stay!
