  1. Just to remind everyone, this is Zareh’s comment when he tried to establish connections with the diaspora, now the arf and the like are mad that the Armenian government is circumventing them to reach Armenians though the global arm and such, and they can’t do anything about it.

    >I’ll give you a specific example. As soon as I became the head of the Office, the VERY FIRST thing I did was to visit Russia to meet Ara Abrahamyan, the head of the Union of Armenians in Russia. It was a meeting with Ara Abrahamyan and all the regional branch leaders. A very long meeting.

    >I conveyed to Abrahamyan that my Office would do absolutely everything they needed us to do. At the same time, I informed him that hundreds of thousands or possibly millions of Armenians living in Russia have been disenfranchised and do not have, or do not want to have, connections with Abrahamyan’s organization, so while working with Abrahamyan, we simultaneously intended to also work with other organizations to establish a connection with even more Armenians.

    >The only thing we asked Abrahamyan was to accept that we would work with everyone. So we met with Abrahamyan’s organization first, then organized meetings with other organizations. Abrahamyan’s organization proceeded to sever the relationship with us.

    >The same about the Union of Armenians in Ukraine. They felt like they were the only organization that was supposed to have ties with us. I explained to them that the vast majority of Armenians in Ukraine had no affiliation with anyone, including their organization. We needed to reach out to them. I became the organization’s enemy from that day forward.

    >The same about the you-know-which diasporan organization in France. I told them that I’d visit their organization first, at a date and time preferred by them, and that with my moves I’d advertise them as the biggest and best diasporan organization in France for symbolism. But I told them that I’d also meet with other diasporan organizations as well. They said „No“. They didn’t want us to cooperate with the other organization in the city of Nice because they are „Turkish agents“. They didn’t want us to cooperate with another organization because they are competitors.

    >They wanted me to maintain the old model under which there was a monopoly by a few organizations that had failed to rally 90% of diasporan Armenians.

Here are more evidences that ANCA is the one preventing Armenia-Diaspora relations from flourishing.

  2. „So-called author“ of this opus thinks that foreighn policies of Armenia have to be decided by him or some UCLA students.

  3. Lol this doesn’t even deserve a spot here, it’s such an obvious hit job. At least it has the propaganda tag…
BTW, since he talks about Sinanyan’s visit to a school, I know from first hand that during Sinanyan’s visit to the US, the ARF was trying to rip apart the diaspora communities he visited. In one case, it arranged for all the Tashnag moms of an Armenian school to threaten to pull their children out (for good, this seriously harming the institution) if Sinanyan’s visit- which had already been arranged- went through with. Eventually it was resolved by which Sinanyan was only allowed to be escorted briefly through the school and sent away without speaking to anyone, lest he pollute their minds or whatever nonsense. The ARF was still invited to all his events, but they stood outside and boycotted instead. Just a total mess that accomplished nothing, and this article represents another example of that behavior.

Also factually speaking, the account of Sinanyan’s career is just factually wrong. Whatever you think of him, it is objectively false that his career ended with the social media scandal in 2013. He was elected to office and later became mayor. He resigned in 2019 order to accept the post he holds today. How did his US political career die in 2013 then?

I’ll also note that one of the most known comments from the social media scandal was homophobic, but its not mentioned at all along with the other terms like racist and misogynistic, probably because of the numerous homophobic scandals surrounding ARF members.

he is beyond most toxic! he’s a self serving zzveli dakank whose policies ruined glendale when he was the mayor here. nothing but shame for our community! larry zarian and ara najarian make armenians proud unlike this anti armenian pashinyan brown noser who has no integrity…he was also a mentor to the current council member elen asatryan who is…dare i say worse than him. they don’t serve the people that elected them; they are all for special groups/individuals who fund their elections at the detriment of the city and the residents. there’s more to these two but i will leave it at that… those who know know!
